Ashby Lace is a women’s extra-wide orthopaedic lace-up for feet needing more room across the front and through the instep. It has a deep 6E fitting. A rounded toe and enclosed heel give it the outline of an everyday leather shoe.

The upper is handmade from supple calf leather, with seam-free natural leather inside. Memory foam between the leather layers adds softness around the foot. The laces let you adjust the fit across the top of your foot.

The rocker sole helps your foot roll forward as you walk. It stays firm beneath the heel and arch, with controlled flex at the front. Supportive 10 mm footbeds are fitted as standard, with a slimmer 6 mm alternative included for more room inside. Both options are removable for suitable personal inserts and for airing after wear.

Ashby Lace brings adjustable laces to our extra-wide Ashby family. Its enclosed leather upper and rocker sole combine a familiar lace-up style with extra width and depth.

Extra width and depth
The extra-wide, deep 6E fit leaves space across the forefoot and above the foot within an enclosed leather upper.
Adjustable laces
Loosen the laces to open the shoe for entry, then adjust them for a comfortable fit across the top of your foot.
Smooth leather lining
Seam-free natural leather lines the inside of the handmade calf-leather upper. Memory foam sits between the leather layers, adding softness where the upper surrounds the foot.
Two insole options
Supportive 10 mm insoles are fitted as standard, with a slimmer 6 mm alternative also included. Swapping to the thinner option leaves more room above the footbed without changing the upper’s dimensions.
Rocker sole
The rocker sole helps your foot roll forward as you walk. A firm heel and arch provide support, while the front has controlled flexibility.
Removable footbeds
The fitted insoles lift out completely if you prefer suitable personal orthotics. Check the fit with the replacement in place, then adjust the laces.
